Make yourself comfortable with a career at Jordan's! Jordan's Furniture is looking for a Licensed Electrician to be part of our motivated Facilities Maintenance department in our Reading, MA store. This position will have a strong focus in electrical work but will also play a vital role in maintaining the property and ensuring we are compliant with laws, regulations, and company policy. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday; 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The estimated pay rate for this position is $40-42/ hour.

Responsibilities we trust you to perform:

• Troubleshoots and performs routine inspections, independent repairs and maintenance of facility systems (e.g. power/electrical distribution, fire alarm, energy management, water, HVAC, gas, and emergency procedures, etc.) along with building and warehouse supporting equipment
• Performs Facility associated duties to include, but not limited to working independently to repair, maintain and assists with the  concentration of the installation of electrical, fire alarm, HVAC, mechanical, refrigeration in accordance with applicable building codes and safety regulations
• Performs facility duties including theatrical show elements
• Locates and identifies building and systems malfunctions; troubleshoots and works from blueprints, drawings, and layouts of other specifications
• Participates in the acquisition of permits, licenses, and other related documents and ensures they remain up to date
• Ensures that building codes and safety standards are maintained and enforced
• Maintains a working knowledge of all building systems
• Oversees repairs and maintenance of grounds including snow removal, ice or inclement weather condition and sewer operations
• Performs facility duties on entertainment venues to include but not limited to theatrical show elements, water shows, etc.
• Travel to other Jordan's Furniture locations as necessary

What you bring to the table:

• Must be licensed Electrician with minimum of 7 plus years of experience preferred
  
• Strong interpersonal skills, as well as mechanical and technical problem solving skills
• Must successfully pass pre-employment testing
• Work may require working at at heights of 35 - 50 ft and work in confined spaces at times
• Must successfully complete pre-employment screening
• Must have a clean driving record
• OSHA 10 Hour Certificate preferred
• Team player and ability to work independently
• We provide tools but must have ability to operate power tools
• Must be proficient computer skills
