Overview

Welcome home! In this newly created position, the Risk Manager would be primarily responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the organization’s comprehensive risk management program, identifying, assessing, and measuring risk as it impacts the areas of finance, insurance, technology, compliance, environmental, and company reputation. This is a hybrid position based out of our Taunton, MA Corporate Office, with some flexibility to work out of Dedham, MA hub.

Responsibilities

What we trust you to do:

  • Plans, designs, and implements an overall risk management strategy for the organization.
  • Develops, reviews, and administers current risk management policies and protocols; evaluates and makes recommendations to the organization’s risk appetite.
  • Develops risk assessments, which involve analyzing risks as well as identifying, describing and estimating the risks affecting the business operations.
  • Evaluates risk, which involves comparing estimated risks with criteria established by the organization such as costs, compliance requirements, and environmental factors.
  • Introduces contingency plans to reduce and control risks and liabilities. Reviews risk policies regularly to ensure they are compliant with relevant new legislation.
  • Responsible for company business insurance portfolio, and makes business continuity plans to limit unacceptable risk levels.
  • Conducts audits of policy and compliance to standards, including liaison with internal and external auditors; observes and assesses internal operations for compliance with acceptable levels of risk.
  • Prepares and presents risk assessment reports and proposals to senior management.
  • Provides support, education, and training to staff to build risk awareness within the organization.
  • Partner closely with key stakeholders across the business to develop, implement and enhance risk management strategies across all business units.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Math, or related field
  • 4-7 years previous experience
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organization, project and time management skills with ability to plan and prioritize workload; ability to multitask and meet deadlines with quality deliverables
