The Assistant Showroom Warehouse Manager assists in directing the operation and activities of the Store Warehouse, Showroom and Housekeeping Departments, including:

• Works with Showroom Warehouse Manager in hiring, training, supervising, motivating and evaluating Store Warehouse, Showroom, Clearance, Enchanted Village and Housekeeping employees
• Ensuring prompt and efficient receipt, storage, and delivery of merchandise
• Ensuring maintenance of showroom appearance and equipment
• Managing the shipping and receiving functions of the store warehouse and transferring of merchandise to Showroom
• Assisting in the formulation and communicating an action plan for the flow of merchandise to the sales floor
• Developing and implementing departmental systems, procedures and reordering of supplies

The qualified candidate must have:

• 5-7 years of retail experience including warehouse, janitorial, and/or showroom
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a retail environment
• Knowledge of safety practices and OSHA laws
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Must be able to solely and safely lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to operate machinery up to heights of 35 to 40 feet
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
